EMUfest 2017 - Appreciation

Thanks to everyone who came out for the 8th annual EniObanke Music Festival (EMUfest 2017). We had a wonderful time at the concerts in Osogbo, Abeokuta, Ibadan and Lagos. Large outpouring of love. Great energy. Hope.

Thanks to the following individuals for important contributions to the successful execution of the project: Kayode Ogunlesi, Oluseyi Akinlolu, Ayoola Efunkoya and his crew who provided the sound for the Lagos show free of charge, Gbenga Faminu who coordinated Osogbo, Bunmi Akinola (the die-hard fan who went everywhere with us and helped out), Adesola Adelakun, Gbenga Ekundayo, Femi Ogunwumi who took care of the band in Ibadan and made us a delicious cake for the Ibadan concert, the Management of Quantum Lounge in Abeokuta, the Alliance Francaise Ibadan, and many more, too numerous to mention.

Thanks to all the artists who shared their talent: Femi Ajayi (AJ Sequential), AsoOge, Sam Apala, Maestroy and the Folklore Band, Newworld Olawale, Leye Komolafe, Gemini, AfroJazz Messengers (a huge revelation!), Mr Hat and the Quodlibet Band, Seyi Ajayi and Black Radiance, Jojo Bodybeats, and many more.

Thanks to every member of the EniObanke team and the Roots Renaissance Band whose many sacrifices are the main reason why it's possible to run this festival year in year out . Our family gets stronger every time!

Thanks to all those who wished us well, those who shared kind thoughts and those who could have but chose not to place impediments in our way.

The memories of the massive out pouring of love at every concert will remain with us for many years. Now, we start planning for EMUfest 2018. See You There!
